Tips for Success
1. Keep a Running Log
Don’t wait until month-end. Track throughout the month:
- Consumption: Check weekly if portal access available
- Certifications: Update as team members progress
- Artifacts: Log immediately after sending (date + what + who + why)
2. Use “TBD” When Needed
If exact consumption numbers aren’t available:
- ✅ “TBD – awaiting Snowflake partner dashboard access”
- ✅ “TBD – following up with Connie for consumption report”
- ✅ Proxy metrics: “3 active accounts, up from 2 last month”
- ✅ Qualitative: “LMNT usage increased ~30% based on warehouse activity”
3. Focus on Proof Points
Even if consumption data is “TBD,” show investment:
- Certifications in progress (80% complete, targeting mid-May)
- Artifacts sent (3 this month: 1 case study, 2 one-pagers)
- Active pipeline (EY FSO, LMNT expansion, CTA kickoff)
4. Link to Strategic Conversations
Use the monthly report as a forcing function:
- “Here’s our progress – can we schedule a call to discuss Q2 co-marketing?”
- “Certifications in progress – what else do we need to unlock Tier 2 SPN benefits?”
- “We’re driving activity on LMNT and CTA – can you help us get introduced to similar accounts?”
