MotherDuck meeting prep — 17 Feb 2026

Who: Hamidreza (Slack), Jacob (booked), Nouras (VP Partnerships), possibly DevRel.

Product (30 sec version)

  • MotherDuck: Serverless data warehouse on DuckDB. GA June 2024. Hybrid execution (client + cloud). Often ~10x cheaper than traditional DW; pay per CPU second, scale to zero.
  • MCP server (their ask): Launched Nov/Dec 2024. Connects Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Cursor to MotherDuck. Natural language → SQL with full traceability and sandboxed read-only compute. They said it’s “meaningfully reshaping how we position MotherDuck.”

Your goals

  1. Relationship — warm, collaborative tone.
  2. Content value — how much does LinkedIn/content matter for them? (brand, leads, partnerships?)
  3. Ask — would they contribute? (ideas, promo, co-events.)

Talking points

  • You reached out to highlight them; they suggested the MCP server as the angle. You’re aligned.
  • You have in-person demo videos in the works (videographer, LinkedIn + thought leadership). Open to their input on what to show.
  • You already use/work with MotherDuck (e.g. Default, Honey Stinger, internal); partnership is real, not just marketing.

Questions to ask them

  • “For you all, how does content—especially LinkedIn—fit into partnerships and demand? Is it mostly brand, or do you see leads/interest from it?”
  • “For the MCP piece—would your DevRel or marketing team want to co-ideate, or even promote when we publish?”
  • “Any events or webinars coming up where a joint story (Brainforge + MotherDuck + MCP) would make sense?”

If they ask you

  • Format/channel: LinkedIn — thought leadership + demo (you said this in Slack).
  • Goal: Brand awareness + show the partnership; open to their preference.
  • Case studies: You have internal ones; this post would be a partnership highlight (e.g. MCP), not necessarily a full case study.
