Marketing Team Delegation Analysis (Nov 2025 – Feb 2026)
Period: November 2025 through February 2026 (issues created 2025-11-01 through 2026-02-29).
People in scope: Hannah Wang, Joseph Lewandowski, Anne Narido.
Data source: Linear MCP (list_issues by assignee for Hannah Wang, Anne Narido, Joseph Lewandowski, and by team Marketing; createdAt on or after 2025-11-01; filtered to created before 2026-03-01).
Definition of delegation (for this analysis): When person A creates a ticket, do they assign it to someone else (delegation) or to themselves (self-assignment)? Delegation rate = (tickets created by X and assigned to others) / (tickets created by X). Scope: any issue where at least one of the three is creator or assignee (all teams, not only Linear “Marketing”).
1. Data summary (Nov 2025 – Feb 2026)
- Total issues in scope (created in 4-month window): 179 (union of issues assigned to Hannah, Anne, or Joseph; deduped by issue id; excludes created on or after 2026-03-01).
- Exclusions: Issues created on or after 2026-03-01 excluded (e.g. MAR-1134).
- Creator/assignee normalization: “Other” = Rico Rejoso, Luke Scorziell, Robert Tseng, Uttam Kumaran, Ryan Brosas, or unassigned.
2. Created-by → Assignee matrix (Nov 2025 – Feb 2026)
Rows = creator, columns = assignee. Cell = number of issues created in the 4-month window.
| Created by | Assigned to Hannah | Assigned to Anne | Assigned to Joseph | Other (or unassigned) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Hannah Wang | 44 | 22 | 1 | 0 |
| Anne Narido | 0 | 1 | 0 | 0 |
| Joseph Lewandowski | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
| Other | 66 | 45 | 0 | 0 |
Other (creator) detail: Rico Rejoso is the largest creator in “Other” (decks, case studies, SEO thumbnails, blog, whitepapers); then Luke Scorziell, Ryan Brosas, Uttam Kumaran, Robert Tseng. Most of their created work is assigned to Hannah or Anne.
3. Delegation metrics (Nov 2025 – Feb 2026)
Per-creator delegation and self-assignment
| Person | Tickets created | Assigned to self | Assigned to others (delegated) | Unassigned | Delegation rate | Self-assignment rate |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Hannah Wang | 67 | 44 | 23 (22 to Anne, 1 to Joseph) | 0 | 34% (23/67) | 66% (44/67) |
| Anne Narido | 1 | 1 | 0 | 0 | 0% | 100% |
| Joseph Lewandowski | 0 | — | — | — | — | — |
Work received (assigned to the three in Nov 2025 – Feb 2026)
| Person | Total assigned | From Hannah | From Anne | From Joseph | From Other (Rico, Luke, Ryan, Uttam, Robert) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Hannah Wang | 110 | 44 | 0 | 0 | 66 |
| Anne Narido | 68 | 22 | 1 | 0 | 45 |
| Joseph Lewandowski | 1 | 1 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
Share of assigned work (among the three)
- Hannah: 110 / 179 ≈ 61% (of tickets assigned to the three).
- Anne: 68 / 179 ≈ 38%.
- Joseph: 1 / 179 ≈ <1%.
4. Findings
- Hannah delegates about one-third of her created work. In the 4-month window, 34% of tickets she created were assigned to someone else (22 to Anne, 1 to Joseph). The rest she kept for herself (66% self-assignment). So by this metric, delegation is meaningful but still a minority of her created volume.
- Anne is the primary delegatee. She received 68 tickets in the window: 22 from Hannah, 1 self-created (MAR-1036), and 45 from others (mainly Rico, then Luke, Ryan, Uttam). She is the main recipient of design, case study, deck, carousel, and LinkedIn-asset work from both Hannah and the rest of the org.
- Joseph has minimal Linear footprint in the 4-month window. He had 1 ticket assigned (MAR-1080, [Deck] Snowflake deck, created by Hannah in Jan 2026) and created no tickets. So in Linear, delegation to Joseph is almost absent for Nov 2025 – Feb 2026.
- Delegation from outside the three flows to both Hannah and Anne. “Other” creators assigned 66 tickets to Hannah and 45 to Anne. Hannah receives more of this inflow (e.g. strategy, GTM, events); Anne receives the bulk of design and execution work (case studies, decks, carousels, thumbnails, blog assets).
5. Caveats
- Linear only. This does not reflect work done outside Linear (e.g. Notion, Slack, ad hoc).
- No capacity or “should delegate” baseline. We cannot tell from this data whether Hannah “should” delegate more or whether Joseph’s role is tracked elsewhere.
- Creator/assignee by display name. Linear MCP returns creator and assignee names (or email for some users); normalization may group slight naming differences under “Other.”
- Scope = assignee-based union. Totals and matrix are built from the union of issues assigned to Hannah, Anne, or Joseph in the date window; issues assigned only to others are out of scope.
