Working briefs for 1Password / Railway, Codex Cloud, and client pilot (ABC, Eden) adoption. Linked to Linear PLT-1259, PLT-1260, PLT-1261.
Current recommendation across these briefs: keep 1Password vault items as the durable secret source of truth, use op-based runtime injection for local dev and automation, and treat 1Password Environments as optional grouping/onboarding structure rather than the only canonical secret store.
Market context: this is roughly the same problem space covered by Doppler (team-oriented secret injection and environment sync) and Varlock (typed env/schema layer with plugin-based secret backends, including 1Password). For Brainforge, the current recommendation favors 1Password + op because it builds on an existing team standard rather than introducing a second secrets control plane.
Do not paste secret values into these files; use 1Password item titles only.
Linear: Each issue had an initial 2026-04-03 comment (next steps / dependencies). The briefs include a “Linear thread (accounted for)” section mapping those comments; issues were still Triage as of 2026-04-06 — update that note when status changes.
