Discount Classification Issues

  • Shopify “discounts” aren’t true promotional discounts
    • 100% discounts typically refunds for damaged/unshipped products
    • Values like 25, 75 suggest systematic refund amounts
    • Need to investigate specific orders to understand discount reasons
  • Current labeling in Shopify unclear for SKU categorization (wholesale vs DTC)

New SKU Management Problems

  • Two new SKUs appeared without proper classification
    • Bess had to contact tech team to determine proper categorization
    • No standardized process for SKU entry in Shopify
    • Previously simple wholesale pricing (10) now complicated by sparkling products
  • Process breaking down as product variety increases

Dashboard Migration Timeline

  • Brainforge dashboard approximately 6 weeks out
  • Current spreadsheet approach will continue until dashboard ready
    • Bess comfortable continuing existing manual process
    • Will reconvene when dashboard available for multi-month validation
  • Dashboard will include completeness checks and automatic SKU classification
