Data Ingestion Priorities & Timeline
- Element leadership pushing for faster data access after retreat
- VPs being hired who will want immediate dashboard access
- Moving from methodical monthly approach to expedited timeline
- Priority list confirmed accurate (P0 > P1 > P2)
- Amazon Seller Central and Walmart.com as P0 priorities
- Shopify integration critical for unified e-commerce view
- Some lower priorities may move to P3
- 4-5 month timeline for all ~20 connectors confirmed as “extremely generous”
- Polytomic operates on much shorter timelines
- Can deliver data chunks to start modeling before full ingestion
Current Integration Status & Blockers
- Amazon Seller Central running but slow API
- Restricted to 2026 data only initially
- Runtime depends on total order volume (pending Slack response)
- Walmart Marketplace blocked on missing API configuration data
- Needs specific marketplace service name from Walmart support
- Will attempt with current candidates by Tuesday
- Gorgeous deprioritized from P1 after consuming too much time
- Documentation errors required extensive support thread with Jason
- Will punt meeting and focus on P0 work instead
API Challenges & Vendor Issues
- Industry-wide frustration with slow/problematic vendor APIs
- Some sources don’t support incremental pulls (full refresh required)
- Documentation often incorrect or incomplete
- Stored API pulling 63k records daily
- Several endpoints lack incremental support (shipments, outbounds)
- Only inventory adjustments support incremental pulls
- Amazon API limitations universal
- No “secret doors” despite competitor claims (Atomic/Track Star)
- All vendors use same underlying Amazon APIs

- Polytomic team: Focus exclusively on P0 integrations (Amazon, Walmart)
