Eden Omni — Cheat Sheet (1 page)
Roles (how to think about access)
- Viewer: explore dashboards, filter/drill, export, schedule deliveries, set alerts
- Standard: create charts/dashboards; AI + context editing (when enabled)
- Developer: models, connections, permissions
Daily workflow
- Open the dashboard you use daily
- Change filters (date + one business dimension)
- Sense-check the result
- Export CSV if you need rows
- If it’s a repeated task: create a delivery/alert
Fast “numbers look wrong” checklist
- Time window: does it include partial “today” data?
- Grain: is this per-order, per-transaction, or per-customer?
- Status filters: paid vs pending vs cancelled vs archived
- Definitions: are you using the correct Topic for the question?
Topics (semantic layer) — mental model
- Topic = approved dataset for a set of questions
- Topics include:
- joins
- definitions + assumptions
- governance
Rule of thumb:
- Keep core definitions consistent across Topics (don’t fork “revenue”).
AI features (if enabled)
Good for:
- exploring “what changed”
- summarizing trends
- drafting charts/questions
Always validate:
- timeframe, grain, filters
Tokens:
- AI usage consumes monthly tokens (budgeted; does not roll over).
Snapshots → workflow (replace screenshots)
Use:
- scheduled PDF deliveries (exec snapshot)
- scheduled CSV deliveries (ops rows)
- alerts for thresholds
Recipe: owner → cadence → destination → action
