CTA — Weekly Kick-Off Update
Date: 2026-03-09
Format: Kick-off (summary, last week, this week, blockers, actions, questions, next sync)
Summary
We closed out the core CES pre-audit report models in Snowflake (staging, attendance/registration overview, geography, product category, industry rankings, industry demographics) and aligned on moving to a star-schema foundation and finishing QA. A few report areas (exhibitor, member attendance, executive club/LIT, conferences) remain blocked until we confirm data availability; we will document and share that with you this week.
Last week’s achievements
- Snowflake and CES models: Finalized dev/QA/prod environment flow. CES semantic-layer views are in QA with a comparison document to the audit report for validation.
- Pre-audit report coverage: Delivered staging registration, attendance/registration overview, attendance by geography, attendance by product category, industry rankings, and industry demographics. Numbers are being compared to the audit report for QA.
- Media report: Media report model is in PR review.
- Members Data Share: PR ready to switch to re:Members Data Share V2; planned merge Monday with a quick QA pass.
- Direction set: Agreed to move CES modeling toward a star schema (dim/fact separation), Fortune 500 as a canonical seed per year with present-at-CES, and to run a QA working session (Wednesday afternoon) for first-pass validation.
This week’s focus
- CES star schema: Start revising CES data modeling into a star-schema structure so aggregations run off dimension and fact tables.
- QA working session: Use the Wednesday afternoon session for joint QA: CTA team first pass on Snowflake vs. audit report, then sync on any mismatches or logic tweaks.
- Blocked report areas: Document which CES report areas we cannot complete yet (exhibitor, member attendance, executive club/LIT, conferences) and why (e.g. data source/location), and send that summary to you for alignment.
- Identity stitching: Advance identity stitching in Engagement Core (next priority after CES modeling).
- Cortex: Continue Cortex setup and testing against the new CES views.
Blockers
- Exhibitor, member attendance, executive club/LIT, and conferences reports: We cannot build these report models until we have the right source data (or confirmation where it lives). We will send a short note this week listing what’s missing and what we need from your side so we can unblock.
